Vacation Bible School!

Vacation Bible School time! So exciting! I always loved going as a kid! This time Jonathan is officially in Kinder so he got to do the big kid things! Yay! Ben stayed in the nursery. He loves those ladies! Although, Ben was over it by Thursday. He was ready for this daily drop off stuff to end! Another reason I am so THANKFUL to stay home with my little ones!
This year I decided NOT to do Music, although I loved it, it was a bit stressful! My friend Kathryn was heading up all of crafts and asked me to be one of the craft site leaders and boy I am glad I did! It was fun and enjoyable! I had an amazing assistant Hannah who was 13 and made my week fun and a little bit easier! We did all of the 2nd grade! It was a fun group of kids.
We invited our neighbors Gage and Riley to join us and they did! So we picked them up everyday. That was exciting for the kids! We haven't really done the carpool thing yet! And Riley is going into 2nd grade, so I got to have her in one of my craft classes! She is a sweetheart!

Day #1 as we were walking in! Orange Day!!

I snuck into Jonathan's craft time and surprised him!

Day 1 they learned about Japan, so he is behind the Japanese man!

Day 2! Red Day! Everyone excited to go again!

This was my 2nd grade craft table! 2nd grade is a great age and was fun to teach! This was on the second day when they completed the "celebration kites"!

I snuck into J's craft time again to see his kite!

Day 3! Blue Day!

Riley and Gage are so helpful with Ben! I love it! Jonathan ran ahead!

Riley always wanted to help me drop off Ben! So we had to go through the Congo hallway to get there!

The stage in the Youth Hall, which is where the Crafting area was located, is just too hard to resist!

Michael and I think they look like a real band!

Kindergarten was so big that they divided them up into 4 groups. This is 2 of the 4 groups. Kinder A & B. Lots of J's best friends!

Purple Day #4! So we posed in front of our petunia's and lavender!

That evening was the performance. The boys and Gran are posing in front of the big craft project that the kids worked on all week! I think it turned out nice!

Gran and Grandma! We can't thank you enough for coming to see Jonathan sing! It meant the world to him!

Heading out on Day #5! Green Day!

The Boys Singing

YAY! My video's on youtube are finally connecting to my blog again! Now get ready, I have a lot of fun ones to share! Starting with this one! "I Love You Lord" is one of the kids favorite songs! Jonathan sang it at Art Fest at the end of the year. Ben picked it up pretty quickly and now it is sung A LOT! Michael and I both wanted to get it on video so we would never forget their sweet voices!

Kinder Promotion Day at Church

At the beginning of June our church promotes the Sunday School classes to the next grade! It's a fun and exciting day! I hung around to help the teachers and kids make the transition and of course, to take pictures!

I have been lucky to be involved with Jonathan's class over the last year. I have subbed a couple times each month and now that it is summer, I am the co-music teacher. So I was able to help with Jonathan's music on his last day in Pre-K! It was fun!

I love all the looks on their faces...they are being told that they won't be coming to this class room anymore, that they are moving up to Kinder! ...worry, shock, disbelief, and excitement!

The group.

J and Brady lined up and excited!

Kick Off to Summer

When the kids got out of school, Amy and I decided to get together and celebrate. We let the kids run through the sprinkler and have fun in the backyard! They had a blast and so did Amy and I!!! It was the perfect start to the summer!

Love this pic!

Soccer Season Concluded

Jonathan's second soccer season concluded (a couple of months ago!) but I didn't want to forget to share the cute end of season pics! Michael took these pictures for me, since I wasn't able to go to the game! :( The day before this game was Ben's tube surgery, so we decided not to take him to the game. It was sad for me to miss it and I am thankful to Michael for taking pictures for me!
We have already signed up for the Fall season and it starts next month!! YAY!

Father's Day at the Dallas Zoo

And from one awesome daddy to another! {Thank you to everyone for your sweet responses to my previous post, Remembering Daddy!}

We celebrated Michael on Father's Day by taking him to the Dallas Zoo! We had SO MUCH fun! He hadn't been for over 20 years, and it has changed A LOT since then! I think we did everything that they have to offer! We road 2 different trains, the boys road on a pony! We fed giraffes and birds! We ate lunch with lions! It was one amazing day with one amazing daddy!

My guys!

Michael and the Elephants!

J feeding the Giraffes!

Look at that tongue!

I love the look on J's face. J said this was his favorite, seeing and feeding the giraffes!

Michael feeding him!

The boys got to pet the sweet giraffe!

Next stop was lunch with the lions! We usually eat here, and I have never seen the lions do this!! 3 of them were lying against the glass sleeping! It was awesome!!!!

Our view while we ate!

They loved it!

This was my favorite. So cool to be so close.

We got to see a penguin really close up!

Next stop - the Monorail! I love this pic of this beautiful boy!

Me and my sweet boy!

Michael and Ben! It was a little warm and there was no breeze in the monorail car, so we were soaking wet with sweat afterward!

Now we are on a different train! The safari train! It is similar to the train we had at the boys birthday party!

All of us on the train!

JJ on the pony!

Giddy Up Ben! Ben says the horse was his favorite!

We had fun with the birds in the bird sanctuary. The birds really liked Michael! The spotted one got on his shoulder and stayed there almost the whole time we were there! Michael said that this was probably his favorite part of our day!

My hand and my bird friend eating!

J isn't sure what to think!

Ben's turn to feed him!
